Central’s ministry to children helps boys
and girls discover God’s promise of salvation and grow in a relationship
with Jesus Christ. Age level classes offer quality teaching, opportunities
to apply truths to real life, and lots of love and attention from teachers
who are committed to sharing Christ’s love with kids.

Children's
Ministries Welcome Center
Visiting families to Central
Church should stop by the Welcome Center before proceeding to the
classrooms. The center is located on the west side of the chapel hallway
and is designated with large backlit pictures of children. Families will
be greeted and given important information about the procedures we use to
ensure the safety of the children in our care. A volunteer will then
escort families to the children's classrooms. Until children are enrolled
in a Sunday School class and have had a picture ID badge made, visiting
families should continue to check-in at the Welcome Center.

Race To Sunday School With FAS Track! It’s
Faster & Safer for You and Your Kids!

General Information
FAS
Track is our new check-in procedure for the Children’s Ministry of
Central Church. With FAS Track, parents can check their kids into
Sunday School easier and with greater security than ever before. FAS
Track helps ensure the safety of your child and makes Sunday School
check-in faster and easier. With the FAS Track system, Sunday
School teachers will have important information about your child right at
their fingertips. When you scan your ID card, a data sheet is printed in
your child’s classroom. The data sheet provides the teacher with
information such as the names of the parents, names of those authorized to
pick up your child, special instructions regarding allergies, infant care,
and your location while your child is in their care. Parents may update
this information at any time.

Here’s
how it works:
|
Ready. . .
Register your child and receive a photo ID card. Cards for
infants through preschool age children will include the parent’s
photo. Cards for children in kindergarten through sixth grade will
include the child’s photo. |
Set. . .
Each Sunday stop by one of several check-in stations located
throughout the church. Scan your card before you take your child to
his or her classroom. Older children may scan their own cards. |
Go. . .
To Sunday School, that is. A printed form will already be in the
room alerting the teachers of your child’s arrival. |

FAQ's
What happens if I
lose my card?
A new one will be made.
What if my child switches hours?
Your child's information may be changed at any time. Simply let the
teachers in your child's class know that he/she has switched hours. The
check-in information will then be changed.
What if the child is a visitor to
Central Church?
Check in at the Children's Ministries Welcome Center on the first
floor of the Education Building.
What happens if I forget my card?
Cards for third though sixth grade children will be left at church and
can be picked up near the upstairs check-in stations. Older children will use their
check-in cards as their nametags in class. Parents of younger children should come to the Children’s Ministries
Welcome Center to obtain a temporary badge.

Special
Information For:
|
Nursery
and Early Childhood
ID cards for infants and toddlers will have a photograph of the
parents or legal guardian. Others who regularly pick up your child,
may have a photo ID card made as well. Teachers will release a child
only to a person who presents proper identification and is approved
by the parent or guardian. |
Kindergarten
- Second Grade
The parents/guardians of children in kindergarten through second
grade should scan their ID card before leaving their child in the
classroom. The ID card will be worn by the child as a nametag during
Sunday School. The information sheet printed in the classroom will
inform the teacher if the child will or will not attend Children’s
Church. |
Third
- Sixth Grade
Each child will have an ID card kept in a binder near the
scanners located in the Atrium upstairs in the Education Building.
Parents will not have a card. Children scan their card and then take
the card to their Sunday School class. The ID card will include the
child’s photograph and will be worn as a nametag during class. |
