This page tells about living as a
Christian. You see, every day Jesus is helping you become more like Him. 2
Corinthians 3:18 tells, "And we, who all reflect the Lord's glory, are being
transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who
is the Spirit."
Jesus is helping us become more like
Him so that one day we will be able to be in heaven with Him. He's helping us get rid of
the sin that separated us from God. And He is going to keep on helping us forever. What He
told His disciples before He went to heaven goes for us also. "And surely I am with
you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:20. He promises to never leave
us.
When a person becomes a Christian,
that person should grow as a Christian, just like a person grows from a baby to an adult.
What are some ways that a Christian can grow?
1 Peter 2:2-3 says, "Like newborn babies,
crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you
have tasted that the Lord is good."
One important way to start growing
is to have a Bible Study or a devotion every day. During your devotion, you can sing and
pray and read the Bible. Maybe you could have with a friend or a parent or a brother or
sister. For ideas for a devotion click on the book.
Another important way to grow is to go to a good
Church that teaches the Bible. You should try to go to church every week to help you grow
as a Christian. If you don't already go to a church, why not try Central Church. Click
here to learn more. Bring your family or friends to whatever
church you go, so they can grow too.
