God made a way for us to come across that divide.

God loves us so much that He doesn't want anyone to die, including you! The Bible says, "This is how God showed His love for us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to take the punishment for our sin" I John 4:9-10. Jesus died on the cross so all the wrong things you've done can be forgiven. Now you can come across the divide because of the cross - because Jesus died for you.
