Mission Statement...
The mission of Central Church's Family Life Ministries is to affirm and enhance the Statement of Ministry of central Church. As such, it is our mission to recognize and meet the needs of our congregation in ministry to the physical body as well as the soul and the spirit. Additionally, we are to utilize the resources of the Family Life Ministry in extending Central's mission to our community and beyond by sharing God's love that we might earn the right to share the Hope of the Gospel that others may come to enjoy a personal relationship with Christ now and forever. Our efforts to accomplish the goals of this mission statement will be met by achieving the following objectives:
- Provide a Biblically-based, Christ-centered exercise environment as an alternative for our congregation and community.
- Provide a safe, clean facility for spiritual, physical and emotional development.
- Propagate the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the medium of recreation and sports to the congregation and community.
- Promote financial and fiscal stewardship by operating the Family Life Center in a responsible, cost-efficient and cost-effective manner, utilizing all resources to the glory of God.
- Provide a trained and equipped FLC staff to serve as ambassadors for Christ, able to share the Good News of the Gospel and serve as ministers of hope and encouragement to all who enter the FLC.
- Provide trained and equipped coaches who serve as godly role models and Christian examples for young men and women to imitate.
- Promote activities that serve as a conduit to guide people into the specific ministries of Central Church where their needs can be addressed.
- Promote biblically-based and Christ-centered activities that encourage the congregation and community to move toward spiritual maturity.
- Provide Christian alternative activities for the congregation and community to promote biblical unity within the body of Christ.
- Provide a comfortable and secure gateway into the church of God for those in our community who would not otherwise visit a house of worship.
