The Life Issues class is an encouraging, video/discussion class geared to understanding and dealing with the complicated needs & issues one experiences in life. The class is open to all adults and meets on Sunday at 9:25 a.m. in room 231.
The next topic: Living Free - Understanding and Preventing Life-Controlling Problems
Begins Sunday July 26 (8 weeks) Room 231 9:25am
Behind people's Sunday smiles is a world of hurt. Some of the "Sunday" smiles hide painful struggles about such things as:
depression-overwork-anger--emotional numbness--unhealthy relationships or an adulterous affair-dependency on alcohol, drugs, or people’s approval-eating disorders-sexual addiction-to name a few. These are life-controlling problems. These problems constrain our experiencing freedom and a full life in Christ. The Living Free workshop casts a loving but truthful light on the reality of these problems and how one begins to become free. The workshop is for those who are interested in being trained to facilitate a Living Free study group. However, it is also for those who struggle and/or know someone who struggles with life-controlling issues. Contact: Bill Bellican counseling@centralchurch.com, or 255-8115 to register your attendance.

f.a.i.t.H. Support Group: (Facing An Illness Through HIM)
When either you or someone close to you is facing catastrophic illness, everything changes. Immediately, you are overwhelmed with grief, fear, anger, disturbing financial and medical decisions, and even life-and-death issues. Because of being lost and confused in all of this, it is important to make a connection and be able to have a conversation with others who do understand and have "been there, done that!" The mission of the f.a.i.t.H. Support Group is to provide this needed connection for those both facing and providing care for those experiencing a serious illness. Based on the fact that Jesus Christ is the only real source of true direction and hope during these times, the f.a.i.t.H. Support Group invites you to come and take part in this faithful community of hope. This groups meets monthly. For more information, contact Jim or Cyndi Siegfried at 901/755-7968, 901/486-0405, or jamesdsiegfried@aol.com . The group's website is www.faithsupportgroup.com.

Would you like to make a difference in a young couple's marriage?
Would you like to help them get off to a great start for a life-long successful marriage?
Can you identify the strengths of your own marriage?
Have you learned things along the way in your marriage?
Can you share encouraging stories about what you have learned?
You may have just found your calling to be a marriage mentor to younger couples. Read on...
We need to help couples grow great marriages from the start. Mentoring is a fun way to share what is ahead in marriage. Whether a couple is newlywed or entering a new stage of marriage, the 12 Conversations program is a simple, encouraging way to strengthen marriages. Sharing stories over snacks, dessert or dinner encourages a friendship between the couples that will last beyond the guided conversations.
If you have an interest, sense an urging from the Lord, and desire to be trained to come alongside another young couple to help them navigate the marriage journey, contact Bill Bellican (901-255-8115) for more details.
