Lay Counseling Training Series: Marriage Works
The series is ongoing and meets in room 210 (
Sundays at 9:25am and Wednesdays at 7pm). One may begin the training series at anytime.
The training consists of 30 lessons on DVD featuring some of the leading Christian counseling leaders and Bible teachers, complete with course lectures, outlines, study notes, and exams.

That's where this workshop comes in. Come learn to identify the things that are changeable and that you can do something about in your marriage to experience greater peace and openness. The techniques taught are for any couple -- from the newly engaged to the long-time married -- for those with happy marriages to those with marriages that are in real trouble. Battle Plan Ministries
Battle Plan Ministry (BPM) provides a ministry of restoration and discipleship for Christians (men and women in separate groups and times) who are involved in habitual sexual sin. Faithful Warriors -If you are a woman who has a husband, son, or brother struggling with habitual sexual sin, our ongoing Battle Plan Ministry group, Faithful Warriors, can provide you with help and discipleship. Women are often the silent victims of recurring sexual sin involving a male loved one; and Faithful Warriors will help such a woman get answers and grow in Christ. Preparing For Marriage/Remarriage - This is a pre-marital counseling class with an emphasis on equipping couples with the tools needed prior to entering the marriage relationship. In addition to using couples' profiles, other topics covered include marital oneness, spiritual oneness, conflict resolution, finances, and sexuality/fidelity. Next class date is
Sunday, August 3, 2008 at 9:25 in room 209 and meets for 8 weeks. There is a $30 per couple cost for materials. Completion of this class also satisfies the state requirement for completing a Pre-Marital Preparation Course which affords a $60 discount on the marriage license fee. Recovery One Day at a Time - This is an ongoing, confidential discussion group and supportive Christ-centered environment where each individual learns how to deal with various life-controlling habits/issues. Insight from the Pastor's sermons along with other targeted materials will help each one "walk in the way of understanding" (Proverbs 9:6) and be able to embrace more of the freedom the Lord has available to each. The class meets on
Sundays at 11:00 in Room 212 and is open to all adults.
Boundaries: Next Workshop Start Date: September 7 (8 weeks); 9:25 a.m. in room 207.
This workshop is for those interested in learning about why we set boundaries, how to set them, and how to respect the boundaries of others. There is an appropriate and God-given way in life to say, "Yes" and "No" without shame and guilt. By doing so, we can live in a way that is dignified and God-honoring to ourselves and others.
Divorce Care Support Group: Divorce Care is designed for men and women who have experienced divorce or are presently going through a divorce. Divorce Care provides a safe place to respond to the healing grace of God and allows one to receive practical, Christ-centered information. Growing Seasons: These groups are for children (ages 4-12) who have had a change in their family structure because of divorce, death of a parent, or living in a single-parent home. The children listen to Bible stories and participate in activities that deal with their particular issues. They are encouraged to talk about their emotions, learn about forgiveness, and look to Jesus for healing. The next session begins in the Wednesday, September 10, 2008. L.I.F.E. - Living In Freedom Everyday

A compassionate, sensitive, but honest group for women who are seeking wholeness and healing from sexual and relational addiction. The L.I.F.E. support group offers Christ-centered and relationally oriented information incorporating spiritual discipline, small group accountability, and ongoing prayer and support.

f.a.i.t.H. Support Group: (Facing An Illness Through HIM)
When either you or someone close to you is facing catastrophic illness, everything changes. Immediately, you are overwhelmed with grief, fear, anger, disturbing financial and medical decisions, and even life-and-death issues. Because of being lost and confused in all of this, it is important to make a connection and be able to have a conversation with others who do understand and have "been there, done that!" The mission of the f.a.i.t.H. Support Group is to provide this needed connection for those both facing and providing care for those experiencing a serious illness. Based on the fact that Jesus Christ is the only real source of true direction and hope during these times, the f.a.i.t.H.
