Branson Missouri Christmas Special November 11-14, 2008
Tuesday, November 11 we will leave for Branson, Missouri with our favorite Charter bus driver, Todd Simpson, behind the wheel. After we have checked in our rooms we will have dinner before we see “Noah the Musical.” This theater presentation is new to Branson; previously we would have had to travel to Pennsylvania to see this production. Just imagine a 300 foot wraparound stage with 40 feet high sets, a cast of 50 actors, elaborate costumes, breathtaking special effects and hundreds of live and animatronics animals.
After breakfast on Wednesday we will spend the morning shopping and sightseeing. That afternoon we will see “Broadway’s Spirit of Christmas,” with the Osmond Family as special guests. A glittering cast of Broadway singers in gorgeous costumes will bring you the Spirit of Christmas. After dinner we will be inspired with the Gospel music of the Presley’s Country Jubilee. The roots of American country music runs deep in the Ozarks and intertwined with them are the roots of the Presley’s. We will enjoy the old and new country sounds.
Thursday morning will find us at The Landing, the newest attraction in Branson’s historic district. Located on the shores of Lake Taneycomo, The Landing has over 450,000 square feet of retail shops and restaurants. Wow - Lots of Christmas shopping! Our Thursday afternoon entertainment is the Pierce Arrow Show. The Pierce Arrow Vocal Group’s magical mix of vocal talent featuring Dan Britton, listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s lowest bass singer, will absolutely amaze and delight everyone. Comedy, and patriotic music, and beautiful Christmas music are also featured. After dinner, we will be treated to the Paul Harris Show. He will be in Branson only for a very limited engagement; his show includes comedy, music and something special for everyone.
Friday we will find our way home filled with the Christmas Spirit.
