The Ambassadors Class: Building Relationships
By Leah Stanley
Relationships between fellow believers are a key component of the Christian
walk, and developing healthy relationships while studying God's Word is what
Central Church's Ambassadors Class is all about. Their focus not only
examines our relationship with God, but also considers how our walk with
Jesus affects every other relationship in our lives. To that end, George Floyd designates the first 20 minutes of his class to be a time of sharing and prayer.
The class, which meets in Rooms 151/152 at the 11 o'clock hour, is host for both men and women, ages 45 and up. The class wants to accommodate people's needs without singling out any specific group. Members of the class
include people who are married, single, divorced and widowed. Don Brock is the primary teacher of the class. There are approximately 80 members in the Ambassadors Class, and once a month they like to go out for lunch together after church.
The Ambassadors are made up of a very active and caring group. "Our class has enjoyed a loving, family relationship all these years," says George Floyd.
