The Belayers Class: Building Disciples

Relationships between fellow believers are a key component of the Christian
walk, and developing healthy relationships while studying God's Word is what
Connecting Points are all about. From that perspective it is certainly the case that Ron Collins and Michael Forney are ready and able to model healthy relationships. Not only do they have solid marriage relationships, but their own friendship is a model of good friendships.
From a practical perspective it might seem that they would be destined to have an adversarial relationship. Michael and Ron both work for General Motors, but Michael is management and Ron is union. But the over-riding factor in their relationship is Jesus Christ. Consequently, though they each bring to the table the responsibility to represent their constituencies faithfully and fervently, they also bring with them the desire to be peacemakers and servants of Christ Jesus, which means they must interact in a way that honors Him. Consequently, they have worked out a way to honor Christ and their employer and have become friends who are also brothers in Christ.
The purpose of the Belayers Class is to model and teach Christian discipleship. That means that solid Biblical teaching will be matched with warm spirits and an intention to live out the Gospel in a way that develops members in the class who are able and committed to serving Christ, also. Don't come to this class unless you are open to being used by God in His bigger program to reach the world. The class is committed to growing personally and numerically until they are able to birth another class with the same purpose. It's all about multiplication!
Michael is married to Latasshia and they have a son, Michael Jr. Ron is married to Robin and their daughter is LeeAnn.
