Central Church Junior High Calendar
Jr. High Collision Retreat
When: September 12-14, 2008
Where: For the Kingdom Ranch in Millington, TN
Form Available: August
Collision is our first retreat of the school year. It is designed to help you meet people and we plan the retreat as if you don't know anyone. By the time you leave, you will know a hundred faces and ten names. You will meet counselors and other students. It is a fun trip with football, volleyball, basketball, and swimming. If you don't know anyone, this is the place to start.
Jr. High Wall Doxey Retreat
When: February 15-17, 2008
Where: Holly Springs, Mississippi
Form Available: January
Activities include a hayride, team games, talent show, basketball, skits, free time and mud football.
Jr. High SOAP (Students Of A Purpose)
When: May 31-June5, 2008
Where: Smyrna, TN
Form Available: March
This is our summer missions trip. We stay in Smyrna, TN, just outside Nashville. Our housing is a duplex that our students gutted, roofed, and renovated for mission groups. We work in the area gutting duplexes to provide low-income housing for people. It is a hard work trip in the sun. In addition to the work, we try to minister to the children in the area by taking a day to play and do an outreach with them. The community loves to see us coming and we work hard and play hard.
Jr. High Fall Creek Falls
When: June 15-19, 2008
Where: Fall Creek Falls State Park, Tennessee
Form Available: April
This is our summer retreat and the favorite retreat of all our students. FCF is six hours up in the mountains. We have a terrific time as we swim in the cascades and falls, crawl through Cumberland Caverns cave, swim at the pool, canoe down the Sequatchie, bike ride, and play four square.
