Jesus came in the flesh as a servant leader. He left us an example of what it means to care for the oppressed and poor in spirit. He left us with a commandment to go and make disciples. He told us to be salt and light. He reminded us that as He was sent, so He is sending us. All of scripture is redemptive history, God pursuing man as well as culture to bring back everything into relationship with him.
Whether it is local missions or short-term missions, we are partnering with God to reach the people groups He created. We can partner with God in Collierville or across the globe. We can even minister to Chinese internationals right here in Memphis. The location is not as important as the obedience. We have local as well as international opportunities for you to do the work that Jesus left in our hands. So, go, get involved, pray, send, go for the sake of God’s glory and His Kingdom.

Perspectives on the World Christian Movement

Since 1974, more than 70,000 believers in North America have experienced the Perspectives course. In 15 lessons, you’ll engage with a range of dynamic speakers. Weekly readings and study will help you dig even deeper.
As we at Central look at the Bible chronologically together, we can see a better view of “The Story”. Perspectives helps to get participants threaded into the biggest story of all time. Perspectives is a course that opens the eyes of the heart with fresh knowledge and understanding of God’s unchanging purposes and why they’re relevant to our lives. Learners will experience God’s heart for all peoples, encounter the momentum of the World Christian Movement and hear firsthand from the global experiences of professors, biblical scholars, pastors, mobilizers, theologians, missiologists, and missionaries from the field – 15 different instructors in 16 weeks!
Taking Perspectives ruins people for the ordinary, and it really speaks to that gnawing feeling we all have that asks if there is something more to the Christian life. Class begins Monday January 30th, at 6:00pm at Grace Evan in the Fellowship Hall (feel free to bring your dinner in with you). Perspectives is for believers from all walks of life – professionals, business leaders, high school & college students, pastors, missionaries, and many others.
