The Music Ministries of Central Church are committed to serving the Lord and His church through vocal and instrumental music. Music Ministries include the Worship Choir and Orchestra, the Contemporary Worship Praise Band and Praise Team and KidzPraise. Each of these groups meets on a regular basis for worship, fellowship and rehearsal.
Worship Choir & Orchestra
Join our worship choir – it’s simple… Attend a rehearsal, fill out a registration form & become a member of the choir family!
The Worship Choir is open to adults who desire to use their musical talents to serve God and share the love of Christ with others. The choir is a close-knit fellowship of believers who not only love to sing, but love to minister to God’s people within the body of Christ at Central.
The Worship Choir rehearses on Wednesday nights from 7:00 until 8:30in the Choir Room. In addition to singing for Sunday morning worship service at 9:25, the choir performs in other special programs throughout the year. Childcare is provided during rehearsals and worship services.
Contemporary Worship Praise Team and Band
Vocalists or instrumentalists can arrange an audition by either calling the Music Ministry at 901-255-8148 or emailing us at music@centralchurch.com
KidzPraise
An exciting praise choir for students in first through sixth grade. We meet on Wednesday nights from 5:45 – 6:45 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall starting January 18. Children will enjoy singing, playing instruments and learning to worship and celebrate the “arts” (including drama and dance). They will learn to lead worship as they participate in Sunday services, winter and spring music programs.
Teachers are needed! Our children need loving adults in their lives who will:
• Influence them to love and praise God. (Psalm 8:2)
• Encourage them to grow in Christ. (Proverbs 22:6)
• Faithfully and willingly give of their time and energy to teach them of God’s Word. (Psalm 34:11)
• Be living examples of our Lord. (1 Corinthians 11:1)

Easter is April 8 this year and we would like to invite all our artists at Central to consider submitting an entry to our Easter Art Fair. Entries would need to be submitted by April 1 (no fooling). Entries would be displayed in our Chapel from April 2 through April 15, on which date we would host a reception for artists and those who want to view the art and interact with the artists. This reception would be from 2:00-3:30 p.m. on that Sunday, the 15th.
