About the Senior Adult Ministry

There’s an idea that being a senior adult means you’ve neared the end of your usefulness. Rather, we believe our senior adults have the wisdom and experience to disciple and shepherd the church.
- At Central, our Senior Adult ministry exists to bring out our best players who can teach and be an example to the rest of the church about being a follower of Jesus Christ.
- Central Senior Adults is a community of loving and caring seniors with a wide variety of interests, talents, and life experiences who are drawn together by the common thread of faith in Christ. We contribute to the life of the church by sharing our own lives and showing others how to live the Christian life together.

Prime Time – A monthly magazine for Central’s Senior Adults
Every month we send out news, devotionals, and updates on the church for the Senior Adult Ministry. If you’re interested in receiving Prime Time, call 901-255-8144 or email senioradults@centralchurch.com to be added to the mailing list.
Come Alive
On the second Friday of every month, we gather to encourage one another, eat great food, and be entertained by amazing speakers and musicians. Of course, we also take time to learn from God’s Word and prayer for each other as well.

Widows/Widowers Ministry
Our widow’s ministry meets the needs of widows and widowers through our deacon ministry. Each widow is assigned a deacon couple to help minister to spiritual and physical needs as they arise. This group also gathers for fellowship four times per year. If you would like to be put on the list of widows and/or widowers to receive care and fellowship, please contact Gus Schroeder through the form below.
