Hurricane Harvey Relief

Hurricane Harvey Relief

The Houston area in Texas has been flooded, causing millions of dollars in damages to property. More importantly, lives have been wrecked and it will take some time for families to recover everything they have lost. In times like this, the Church is called to reach out and be the hands and feet of Jesus. Will you join us in donating your time, money, and prayers on behalf of the victims of Hurricane Harvey?

Central Church is parterning with Samaritan’s Purse to provide aid in Houston. Watch the video below for a short description of what they’re doing.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Donate

Starting on Tuesday, September 5th, we will begin collecting specific supplies at the church to send down hurricane victims. If you would like to donate items, please only bring items from the list. You may drop off your donations at our Worship Center desk (East entrance).

Give

Giving money is one of best ways to help the relief efforts in Houston. You may use the link below to give to our Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.

Go

We want to ask our members to begin praying about going down to Texas on a “Hurricane Serve Team.”  More information will be available at a later time. We will have two Hurricane Serve meetings next Wednesday, September 6th at 4:30 pm in the Hospitality Room and 8 pm in the Fellowship Hall. They will be identical meetings but offered at two different times so more people can attend. The purpose is to give more details about how people can get involved in all these areas including going on a team. If you need a reminder, you can visit the events page to see when they are.

Pray

We should never forget the importance of prayer. Please pray for the following:

Safety for those trapped
Safety for those who have been forced to leave their homes
For Jesus to be made known in these difficult times
