You Can Theme It Up.
Each night will have a theme where you can dress up to represent your team.
It's Really Cool.
Because it’s winter. And winter is cold.
Because We Know Where You Live.
We know who your parents are. We’re not afraid to call them and sign you up. So you better sign yourself up first.
You Get a T-Shirt.
You get a t-shirt! And they get a t-shirt! Everyone gets a t-shirt!
FAQ
This is a place for questions you may ask.
What if I have a conflict during the weekend? (a game, conflict, etc)
You can still be part of The Winter Thing. Just fill out a time away card at the start of the weekend. You can just slide out when you need to go and get back when you are done.
What does my registration fee cover?
- All meals on Saturday, breakfast on Sunday
- Recreation on Saturday
- All big meetings
- More fun than you can handle!
- A free pair of socks if you register on Black Friday
Who can participate in The Winter Thing?
The Winter Thing is for students in 6th-12th grade.
This is not The Winter Thing for people who are old. Otherwise we would have called this event something more boring.
What do I need to bring?
- Sleeping bag
- Pillow
- Towel
- Toiletries
- Bible
- Pen
- Casual clothes for Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Wear something that can get messy on Friday!
- Snacks for your host home to share
- Socks (preferably the ones that you get for registering on Black Friday)
Where do students stay?
Students stay in host homes of Central Church members who go through a thorough application process and background check.
All groups are the same grade and same gender.

Completion of the Central Church Student Ministry 2022 Medical Release Form with a parent’s notarized signature.
